Birmingham Weekly

Caddle gets billed as “alternative” a lot, but really, at the core, the band is one of the best examples of modern Southern rock
'n' roll. There's a little bit of a ‘70s punk vibe, a little bit of glam-inspired swagger and a little bit of a honky-tonk twang, but the
overall feel has more to do with cheap beer and – conceivably – a bar fight or three. Good times, if you can remember them
through the hangover. – KM

Door in Montgomery on June 24th.  Come out and play... it will be some drunk'n fun.

Birmingham Band Caddle to rock Roosters
by Carla Merrill of The Corner News

Caddle, the band that calls themselves the bastard sons of Southern Rock that is equal parts Rock-n-roll and Southern Fried
Punk, claim influences that range from alt-country to R&B.  The band hails out of Birmingham and have been described by
Mark Wehner of Americana Tonight as "Hank Williams fronting the Ramones."
Caddle has opened for such artists as Molly Hatchett, the Rev. Horton Heat and The Exies.

The band combines a rock and country sound to make some humorous songs like "Work" in which lead vocalist Phillip Hyde
sings with a twang.

"I work 60 hours a week and I ain't got no time to get no sleep.  The boss man is bearing down on me se I get drunk every
afternoon till I can't see."

The band is currently working on a full-length CD as well as a live DVD project in Nashville to be released in early fall.

Cach them when they preform at Rooster's Thursday night at 8 PM.  Tickets are $5.00. For more information visit
